Our entire University is situated on one campus. Whichever of our seven halls of residence you choose as your home, or if you opt for a house in the student village, you鈥檒l be living at the heart of the campus.
It's a great way to make new friends and with no commute you鈥檒l be able to maximise quality time for studying, socialising and sport.
Applications for accommodation for 2023 are open from 1 January 2023. You need to apply first for your place on your course, and once you have received an offer and gone Firm, you can . Your accommodation will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
When you are offered accommodation you will receive a contract and payment plan which need to be signed and returned to the Accommodation Team. You will also be required to pay a £250 deposit (which is returned at the end of the tenancy, as long as all is in good order). The deposit needs to be paid prior to arrival, but you can make part payments between now and September via the e-pay student portal”.

Contracts are for 42 weeks from September to July and include the Christmas and Easter vacations.
You pay the University direct for your accommodation in full or in installments:
Rates include heating, lighting, wifi access and personal contents insurance.
Many postgraduate students go on placement so we offer a longer contract (the duration of most postgraduate courses) with a break clause. So, if you do find your placement is more than 30 miles away from campus or your home address or more than a 30-minute commute you can break your tenancy for the duration of the placement and not pay for this time.
For first-year residents, buying a Dining-in-Card at £820 is obligatory to cover one meal per day Monday to Friday on campus (in the shop, canteen or Sports Centre café). This means you’ll keep eating even if you’ve spent all your money elsewhere. This is split into 2 payments of £410 due in September and January.
